We have adopted this Privacy Policy, which determines how we process information collected by https://cyberx.pt, which also provides the reasons why we must collect certain personal data about you. This Personal Data Protection Policy applies exclusively to the collection and processing of personal data for which CyberX is responsible for the respective treatment, within the scope of the services and products made available to its Clients/Users, whether in Portugal or abroad, and in all situations where personal data is processed by CyberX, namely, through social intervention and development support actions.

CyberX's websites may include links to access other websites that are unrelated to CyberX. The provision of such links is made in good faith, and CyberX cannot be held responsible for the collection and processing of personal data carried out through these websites, nor does CyberX assume any responsibility for such websites, namely as to their accuracy, credibility and functionalities available in them.

What is personal data?

Personal data is any information, of any nature and regardless of its support, including sound and image, relating to an identified or identifiable natural person.

A natural person who can be identified, directly or indirectly, is considered to be identifiable, namely by reference to a name, identification number, location data, electronic identifiers or to one or more specific elements of their physical, physiological, genetic identity, mental, economic, cultural or social.

Personal Information We Collect:

When you visit https://cyberx.pt, we automatically collect certain information about your device, including information about your browser, IP address, time zone, and some of the cookies installed on your device. In addition, as you browse the Site, we collect information about the individual web pages or products you view, which sites or search terms directed you to the Site, and how you interact with the Site. We refer to this automatically collected information as “Device Information”. Why do we process your data?

Our main priority is the security of customer data and as such we can only process minimal user data, only what is absolutely necessary to get in touch with the customer. Transfer of Personal Data to Third Parties:

The provision of information or services by CyberX to its readers and users through CyberX's websites may imply the use of subcontracted third party services involving the processing of your personal data, including entities established outside the European Union or the Economic Area European Union, which may imply access by these third parties to your personal data.

In these circumstances and when necessary, CyberX will only use subcontracted entities that present sufficient guarantees to carry out the appropriate technical and organizing measures so that the processing in question complies with the requirements of the applicable personal data protection legislation with the level of security appropriate to the risk and sensitivity of the personal data in question and such guarantees and obligations of the subcontractor will be established by contract signed for this purpose between CyberX and each of these third parties.

In the context of the provision of services provided by CyberX that are subject to payment by the reader or user, and if the reader or user chooses a payment system that involves third parties (Visa, Mastercard and Paypal), the data will be provided to said entities strictly necessary for the purpose of validating and making the chosen payment method.

Transfer of Personal Data to Third Countries or International Organizations:

CyberX may have to transfer personal data collected to a third country outside the European Union (“EU”) and not included in the list of countries that the EU has already considered to meet adequate levels of personal data protection. In such cases, CyberX will ensure that such transfers of personal data are carried out in strict compliance with the applicable legal standards for the protection of personal data, namely, those arising from the General Regulation on the Protection of Personal Data (“RGPD”).

Information security:

We protect the information you provide to us on computer servers in a controlled and secure environment, protected from unauthorized access, use or disclosure. We maintain administrative and technical safeguards  to protect against unauthorized access, use, modification and disclosure of personal data under your control and custody. Under the 128-bit SSL (Security Sockets Layer) protocol, which protects the transmission of all sensitive data over the Internet, all information is treated with maximum security. Whenever information relating to personal data that appears to be particularly sensitive is collected or used, the data will be encrypted using the SSL protocol. However, no data transmission over the Internet or wireless network can be guaranteed.

It is the sole responsibility of users of CyberX websites to keep their access codes confidential, not share them with third parties and, in the particular case of devices used to access CyberX websites, keep them in safe conditions of use, following the security practices recommended by manufacturers and/or operators, namely installing and updating the necessary security applications including, among others, anti-virus applications.

CyberX makes every effort to maintain and apply the most appropriate threat detection technologies that allow it to identify and respond to security or privacy incidents (and any breaches of personal data under the RGPD) without undue delay.

The data protection officer plays an important role in the processing of personal data, ensuring, among other things, that data processing complies with current legislation, verifying compliance with this Personal Data Protection Policy and defining clear rules processing personal data, ensuring that all those who entrust you with the processing of your personal data are aware of how CyberX handles them and what rights they have in this matter.

Legal Disclosure:

CyberX will not sell, rent, share or offer the personal data provided by its users, except under the terms of the applicable personal data protection legislation and in the situations provided for in this Privacy Policy.
